SUMMARY:Join a Vocation Group 2025-2026 (Fall Launch)
DESCRIPTION:In every field and industry\, Christians are asking: Where can I wrestle honestly with what my work is for and who I’m becoming through it? What does it look like to follow Jesus in a culture that often values everything but Christ? How do I discern when to stay\, when to speak\, and when to walk away? \n\n\n\nGod cares deeply about the work you do and the person you’re becoming through it. Vocation Groups are monthly\, industry-specific communities of Christians who wrestle with these questions alongside others who understand their world. Vocation Groups are designed to connect you with peers in your field\, equip you with theological wisdom for your work\, and mobilize you to live out the gospel in the calling God has entrusted to you. Whether you’re just starting out or long established\, this is an invitation to grow in Christ\, not apart from your work\, but right in the middle of it. Vocation Groups launch this fall in Finance\, Legal\, Tech\, and the Arts. For more details and FAQs\, visit our Vocation Group page. \n\n\n\nEligibility for Vocation GroupsVocation Groups are designed for those actively working in their field full-time\, part-time\, or freelance. If you are in a season of exploration\, transition\, or retirement and not currently engaged in the industry\, these groups won’t be the right fit at this time\, and we’d be glad to recommend other opportunities.  \n\n\n\nDates & Commitment Groups meet once a month from September through May (with a break in December) for a total of 8 sessions. The program begins with a Launch Night on September 23 and wraps up with a Celebration on May 12. Meetings are 2 hours in the evening and will take place in person at the W83 Ministry Center. DESCRIPTION:“What do you do?” You’ve almost certainly been asked this question very recently. Or perhaps you’ve asked someone else. There is something about work that is inextricably connected to our sense of self and even self worth. But why is that? Is that a good thing? Why\, if we (New Yorkers especially) define ourselves by the work we do am I so frustrated with my work?  \n\n\n\nThis introductory 5-week cross-vocational course is designed to help you take an in-depth look at what scripture says about your work. We will focus on tracing the story of the Bible to gain insight into God’s intention for our work\, weaving together weekly teachings\, spiritual practices\, daily devotionals\, and group discussions. If you have ever wondered whether or not your work matters\, or if God even cares about what you do\, this class is for you.  \n\n\n\nOur Fall edition of Faith & Work 101 will take place on Monday nights from 7 to 9 pm starting October 20\, 2025. In addition to our weekly sessions\, you’ll receive readings and devotionals to complete during the week.
